Our early experiments with growing Oyster mushrooms in a straw substrate & in hanging bags.

Monday, June 27, 2017 is the date of our first ever blog post. Today is significant as we here at Aro-Ha Urban Fungus Farm harvested our very first crop of indoor cultivated Oyster mushrooms {Pleurotus ostreatus!}
As you can see in the image above, it was a bountiful harvest, our final haul weighed in at a hulking 7.84 kg!
We are so stoked! After weeks of careful preparation, tinkering and colourful language, we achieved our very first indoor fungus crop.
